The first six shots are examples of restoration work done for survivors of Hurricane Katrina. Many, many families had precious photos damaged. Operation Photo Rescue (http://www.operationphotorescue.org/) formed to scan these damaged photos and send them to volunteer restorers around the world. They now help folks affected by all manner of natural disasters.

Photockie > Simple Retouching
Photockie > Minor water damage with lots of contrast and color loss.
Photockie > Lots of squiggle and dots made this mostly a test of patience. All the great color in the final was "hidden" in the original. It just needed to be brought out.
Photockie > I assumed the house was significant and most of the work was spent restoring it. Color and tone corrections were pretty straight-forward.
Photockie > MAde an executive decision that the curtain could fade to black and that the people on the right weren't important. After correcting minor water damage, portions of the costume on the left were used to rebuild the right.
Photockie > A major rebuild. Reconstructed her dress/arm, his hairline,the jacket, and several of the dollar bills. Time constraints prevented restoring all the dollar bills.
